The header image is from a photograph of the Yamazaki Memorial Community Garden at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, which community members in Koreatown help to maintain. The garden plays an important role as greenspace and a source of fresh food for the neighborhood. If you are interested in the garden or adding your name to the waiting list for a plot, please contact St. Mary’s. For other community gardens in Los Angeles, see the LA Community Garden Council’s directory.
