My name is Ryan Kuroiwa and I am a recent graduate of Whittier Christian High School.  I plan on attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the fall to study aerospace engineering.  In addition I live in Whittier California and have for my whole life.  I became involved in this program because I have known Anson, the founder of this program, my whole life.  I thought that this program would be interesting to learn some new things, meet some new people, and make my voice heard.

Born in raised in Los Angeles, California for yay long, I go to school to school at university senior high, I guess I like it there, it has its flaws but its alright, what school doesn’t. Class of 2010, ya baby. This is our year. I work with the Bus Riders Union and I have been doing it since 2007. I just began a week long training with Greenrelay in Los Angeles, CA. I cant think of anything right now, but I should a bit later. For now peace.

Hi.  My name is Chenel. I am 20 years old and I live in South Central Los Angeles. I am currently attending CSULA, where I major in communication. I live in a neighborhood that is filled with just minorities. In my neighborhood most of the people are brought down by oppression. I like to see my self as being different from other people in my community because I like to think outside the box. I started to become interested in the community after I took a Chicano class at CSULA; because of that class I now realize that oppression is a big part of America.

My name is Krystoffer Strong. I’m curently seventeen, and just graduated from Westchester High School. I’m from Inglewood, but have grown up in the Westchester area all my life.  I’m going to the Art Institue of California – Los Angeles in the fall and I’m going to be getting into the Game Art and Design program.

Just a few things about me, I’m currently a member/organizer of the Bus Rider’s Union and the Labor Community Strategy Center. I like to draw (a little), write poetry, listen to music (you may be surprised at the things you’d hear me listening to), play a little music myself, and many other sorts of things, but I am a geek haha. I like bein’ on the computer and exploring technology and so on.
